Narconon Drug Rehabilitation and Prevention
Services The Narconon® Drug Education and Prevention Program
provides the true information to students so they can make the right decisions
regarding drug use and combat the misinformation they are exposed to from the
media and current drug users. Our methods are proven and confirmed by hundreds
of thousands of surveys from students sharing what they learned and how much
they liked the presentations.
Besides its drug education and prevention
efforts, there are Narconon® Drug
Rehabilitation Centers located around the world. The Narconon program has a
success rate of over 70% at keeping its graduates free of drugs and alcohol for
two years after graduating the program.
There are currently 15 million
drug users in the United States and an increasingly large number of those are
children. New Mexico has the highest illicit-drug death rate in the United
States, almost four times the national average. New Mexico has the number-one
drug problem in the country. In addition, the Center on Addiction and Substance
Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University has recently released the results of a
study on drug abuse in rural American communities. This study was funded by the
U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the results were shocking. Per this
study, 8th graders living in rural American communities are 34 % more likely
than their urban counterparts to smoke marijuana, 83% more likely to use crack
cocaine, and 10% more likely to use amphetamines within the last month.
